Soren, a youthful outbuilding owl, is captured by owls of St. Aggie's, apparently a shelter, where owlets are indoctrinated into becoming fighters.
He and his new companions departure to the island of Ga'Hoole, to help its respectable, savvy owls who battle the military being made by the devilish leaders of St. Aggie's.
